hey thanks Bernard, but i was more looking for a utility that i can flip it back to netboot or boot off of lan because some ahem 'clown' decided to flip the bit to boot off of hdd, and next thing you know, i don't know about it until the machine doesn't pick up an update. then i have to have someone physically reset the CMOS settings. i guess what i am searching for is a userland utility that will snarf the CMOS config settings, perhaps save them to a file and be able to apply those settings. then reboot, boots off of the network, and life is good, without having to involve a tech in the field. but thanks for the heads up on netbootmond. i think i'll fiddle with that one for fun though. =ted= ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
