Well, I'll answer my own question. Word to anyone who might be reading this list, looking for pre-boot settings for their machine if you're not running a DHCP server:
1) You *have* to specify a BROADCAST setting, whether you are using a broadcast protocol or not. 2) I would recommend using *all* the network settings, or you may run into some trouble. 3) If you have a set of disk partitions that are large, you *must* increase your rsync timeout because the first query for the BOEL files comes before parted and mke2fs commands, then the rsync starts. -R On 10/27/2010 9:25 AM, Robby Desmond wrote: > Hey SI-users, > > Question: Should I abandon all hope of ever getting support from the > SISuite lists? > > Reasons: > > 1) The Wiki is spammed. > 2) Trac is spammed. > 3) Last "stable" release (which I'm trying to use, production > environment and all) is almost 3 years old. > 4) Trac roadmap indicates a version 4.2.x and 5.x in the sights, but > 4.1.7 is still not considered the "active stable".
