Hi,
I posted (reference to) my tvlistings.pl script on Monday and since then
I've been looking at Plucker as a replacement for iSilo. Last night I felt
happy enough to remove iSilo from my Palm m100 (in order to make space for
SimCity!) as I have gotten to grips with the plucker conversion tools and
have written a little script to build a plucker-DB home page with links to
the pages created by tvlistings.pl.
My next step is to get sitescooper to do the work:- last night when my wife
was out and the kids had gone to bed I spent an hour with the sitescooper
code and I must say it is a magnificent effort (well done). I tried to get
sitescooper to automate plucker but I encountered a bit of a problem with my
backward OS (WinNT) as it won't allow a directory named ".plucker" to be
created in my home dir and that is exactly where sitescooper asks plucker to
put the pdb files (see main.pm:2062 $syncfile = $self->sed_path
("~/.plucker/$sitename.pdb");) *before* moving them to the install dir. As
it happens, plucker succeeds in creating pdb files in the temp dir and
pauses after a conversion so the pdb file can be rescued prior to
destruction!
I'll hopefully get some time to make a suitable fix this over the weekend.
