It's about time! Sitescooper 3.1.0 is now available, in .tar.gz,
.zip and .rpm formats. Usual place:

The mirror scripts are uploading it now... give it a few minutes though ;)
There's an issue in that the output PDB files are not automatically added
to the hotsync list on Windows; as far as I can tell, this seems to be
something to do with a change in the Registry key used by the Palm Desktop
software to indicate that files need installation. (Maybe someone with a
recent version of the Palm desktop can help me on this one.)
Otherwise it seems to work pretty well -- better than 3.0.2.
Change log:
- much better Plucker support, including color-depth support using
the -maxcolors switch, which is passed in as appropriate to
handle comics. However, it still uses a "[tap here to display]"
link instead of thumbnails, as there was issues with the
thumbnails during my testing. :(
- caching subsystem restructured; now more object-oriented.
Benefit: faster, more efficient caching due to use of DB_File;
multiple sites can scoop the same pages independently; downside:
cached pages will be re-fetched once you upgrade.
- tables are now rendered as paragraph breaks by default.
- multiple line breaks are collapsed into 1.
- fixed some Windows support issues (mostly warnings).
- URLs specified on the command line now pick up their title from
the page's HTML.
- an index.html is now generated if you do a -html scoop.

Andrew Chadwick);
