Set up SiteScooper on my Windoze box. Works fine. Trying to config it
so that it only attempts to install the databases at the end. Here's
what I got so far:
scoop.bat:
cd c:\progra~1\sitescooper-3.1.2
c:\progra~1\perl\bin\perl sitescooper.pl
c:\windows\regedit /s regadd.reg
regadd.reg:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\HotSync
Manager]
"Install18933"=dword:00000001
added this to sitescooper.cf:
PilotInstallDir: c:\progra~1\Palm\SteeleT\Install
The idea is that all the data files are dumped into the Install
directory, then the regedit line sets a magic key in the registry which
means on the next HotSync operation it will install whatever's in the
Install directory.
Anyone done better than this admittedly kludgey solution?
