Hi all: I started using Skim to read and annotate research papers. I often use the highlight feature.
Many research articles, however, have a two column layout. I can use the option key to use a rubber band for selection, but this would lead to selecting whole lines always. Most of the time, however, I want to start the selection somewhere in the middle of a line and end it somewhere in the middle of the third line below that. That is not possible with the rubber band. This works with "normal" selection, but only for single column layouts, not for multiple columns. I am wondering if there is a feature that would allow me to select text in an intelligent way, that is that Skim "understands" the text flow and acts accordingly.
