This reminds me of features I would importune relative to navigation
within a pdf. I just can't get around a pdf the way I would like and
feel frustrated and impatient with most readers lack of navigation
options. I like Skim a lot. This is no criticism of Skim, and I would
like to see it get even better.

I grew up using EMACS and eschewing mice. I love key chords that get me
around and go cross eyed with agitation relying solely on mice, page
down, and scroll keys.

I use a trackball but don't like to take my hands off the keyboard.
Apparently Steve Jobs does not like buttons. Key chords have been ruled
anathema and contrary to the Mac aesthetic.

That said, I would love something similar to the key chords in EMACS to,
for example, go from the start to the end of a file. Chords to jump
paragraph to paragraph, page to page, beginning of sentence, end of a
sentence, etc. The more the merrier.

Or maybe I am missing something and should RTFM (read the manual). No, I
just came back from the manual. I really can't get from here to there
using key chords the way that would be optimal and efficient.
