For BibDesk, if one drags a Skim notes file onto the BibDesk preview
pane, it will display and be searchable by BibDesk; <ctl>-clicking
the Skim file in the preview pane will display a window with Skim
notes. Also,
http://jhh.med.virginia.edu/main/TemplateNotes#otherTemplates has a
template and an Applescript that display lists of selected articles
in TextEdit, including abstracts, annotations and Skim notes. Am I
omitting something here?
BibDesk can also search and display Skim notes in a linked PDF(D)
file. The latest BibDesk nightlies also have full AppleScript support
for Skim notes of linked PDF(D) files.
