Thanks for asking the right question. I am TextMate and Skim for my TeX work. When I start Skim by itself (which I did after reading your mail), everything works fine. But when TextMate starts Skim after running TeX to compile a tex file into a pdf file, then printing does not work. So this is not mostly a Skim problem but probably an issue with the TextMate script starting Skim.
