Don't think that should be mentioned. It's more a feature of Spotlight than Skim, so if you think it's a problem than this is also a problem of Spotlight rather than Skim. In fact, it's a system bug that Skim needs to force a reindexing, because the documentation says that it's supposed to do it automatically.
