I really don't want to remove the side panels, they serve a very
useful purpose for the generally intended use of the Full Screen mode.
We cannot satisfy everyone.

However I've added a hidden pref for the next release that just hides
them when they're closed. I think that should be sufficient for these
purposes.

... a hidden pref sounds like jst the right way!
