That's what I suspected and very much appreciate the need for
clarity. I had searched (and have searched again), but couldn't find
a discussion of item wording.
I (re-)raised this issue because I (and others I have shown this to)
generally have to navigate to the submenu 2 or 3 times before
success. Also, IIRC, the "Use Current View Settings as Full Screen
Default" is among the longest menu items I've seen on the Mac when
there is a submenu.
As I frequently use this feature, I've assigned shortcuts.
On the off-chance you might reconsider, my list of modestly shortened
suggestions included
Use these View Settings as Full Screen Default
Use these Settings as Full Screen Default
Thanks for the excellent tool

The length of this menu item causes a long travel distance to select

Would "Set current as Default" and "Set current as Full Screen
default" suffice?
The fewer the characters, the less dexterity required to navigate to
the submenu.

Many users even get the function from this more descriptive title,
so no, that's not feasible. This is really the shortest one we could
think of. BTW there's a discussion about this somewhere in the
archives of this list.
