Hi

I thought I read that Dropbox was going to support the synchronization of skim
notes. I am finding that it does not. I have made a number of test cases, and I
find that while Dropbox does synchronize some of the Macintosh file system
“metadata” (or extended attributes), it does not synchronize Skim notes.

If I run the command line program xattr on two computers being synchronized by
Dropbox, I can see the “com.apple.FinderInfo” and
“com.apple.metadata:kMDItemFinderComment” metadata being synchronized between
them, but the "net_sourceforge_skim-app_notes” and other skim attributes are
not being synchronized.

I don’t understand all the details of Apple’s extended attributes (and hope I
don’t have to try to do so), but I am wondering if there is something I can do
to get skim notes to be synchronized, and if my experience is the same as
others who are using Skim and Dropbox.

Thanks

A
