Here is the response from Dropbox about my bug report that Dropbox does not
support synching of Skim extended attributes (i.e., where Skim stores its
annotations of pdf files):

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your patience in isolating this issue.

It appears that the issue is that we do not currently support syncing arbitrary
extended attribute information like Skim metadata. ResourceForks, Finderinfo,
and Findercomments, for example, should sync without problems which allows for
the correct file system level behavior across a variety of operating systems.

Unfortunately, I do not have a list of the extended attributes that are
supported but it does not appear that the Skim metadata is compatible after
reviewing the test cases you have provided with our team.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but I hope this helps answer
your question.

Thanks!

Regards,

Luis

If any of you have friends at Dropbox and want to urge them to add support for
Skim, I encourage you to try.

A
