Yes indeed, and this is what I’ve been doing. But the unexpected popups do interrupt the flow. I actually drafted my message a couple weeks ago, but waited to see if I would get used to the inadvertent popups.

(… and when I do want one to show up, it quickly times out and goes away …)
It is a great feature nonetheless.

Changing pop-up duration is not the best way to address either issue. When it is invoked intentionally, there is no reason for the pop-up to go away on its own (the user may still be reading); it should wait for an ESC (or a focus event elsewhere, etc). These popups are fine, but they stick around too much and I have to
"shake them off" especially when I go to a new page. They should be
less persistent.
