DropBox (probably) does not synchronize the extended attributes of the files, where we save the Skim notes. So this will not work. You could either save your PDFs as PDF bundles, which should synchronize them properly. Or you can always save a .skim file backup of the notes (you can set this in the General preferences), and synchronize that with the PDF. (But be aware that changing notes on both systems may b=not be seen on the other when you do this). Our you can synchronize files with embedded notes, but that has other problems.
