Another competitor is atstream.

You're also up against Apple's iTools/iDisk, which is free for the 
first 20MB of storage, and is built into all Macs, but viewable from 
Macs and PCs.

There is definitely consumer interest in this, but I'm not sure how 
far it extends to paying hosting fees.
