Hi Bob, thanks for your reply. I have checked for continuity on the cable which was made at radio shack and it checked out fine. I also changed com ports but they had the same result. I even tried connecting to my desktop but it did the same thing. As for trying other programs on the telescope I don't have anything to try. Do you have any suggestions? Andrew
