Hi,
The best way to copy the customized files and all the catalog is to zip the whole ciel\ directory and subdirectory. Otherwise save at least the file: scope.ini, observatory.dat and your horizon*.txt. Also extres.ini if you use a firewall. The current option are saved to the Windows registry. If you want to keep the exact same option (require you re-install to the same directory) just export the full key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Astro_PC\Ciel and import again to the new machine. Please do that only if you exactly know what you do with the registry editor! You can also save a chart and reload it to the new installation. This copy most of the setting that not depend on the physical location, this imply you have to set the catalog path again but all other options must be saved. Some explanation about the other files: default.opt set the default options when the program is first run, this file is not updated with your current options. cartesduciel.ini is used instead of the registry for the version 3, I finally find the old way much more convenient.
