Unfortunately it's not a matter of it working under X11. X11 is just a bunch of graphics libraries and a display server. It's a question of getting it to compile on the PowerPC (or any other non x86 architecture). Until Borland ports the Delphi/Kylix compiler to OSX, CdC will be unable to be compiled for the Mac. Or if some brave (or crazy) soul could port CdC to C/C++ then link that code to whatever graphics library you want to use. Both these things may indeed be the planned in the future but I don't know. Neither seams to be available at this time.
However, CdC seams to run fine on OSX under emulation with VirtualPC 6. So if you shell out the $100+ bucks to MS you can enjoy CdC right now on your favored platform. --On Wednesday, December 1, 2004 2:45:54 PM PST -0500 Robert Bruce Thompson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I.J Jordan wrote: > >> Thank you for your informative post, it is nice to know that perhaps I >> may still be able to use in the future what was/is my favorite >> astronomy software. > > You're welcome, Ian.
