I can envision a government report tallying up all the amateur astronomers' 
futile satellite location queries as "thwarted terrorist attacks" to justify 
part of Dubya's war on terrorism costs.

That's my opinion as well. Unfortunately, the government has a long track 
record of doing things that _sound_ good and show they are "doing 
something" 
about a "threat." ;-(
