Patrick,
thanks very much for your continued work on this project. Somehow with the
latest version, .9 I'm having a problem clicking on nebulas and getting
detail about them. For example in the M42 region in Orion I can get a detail
box to show for any of the nebulas. When I shift-click it tells me there are
no objects in the field. I have the SAC and NGC catalogues enabled.
Let me know what else I need to tell you to narrow down the problem, please.
As a general question, in 2.76 all the important configuation windows were
available with a single click on a menu icon. Now I first need to go to
setup and then find the correct item to make my changes. Do you plan to
provide shortcuts again? For example the 'setting circles' button on 2.76
works really nicely with the right click shortcut to the config window. This
doesn't work that way in 3.0, unfortunately.
Speedwise 3.0 still leaves some to be desired IMO. 2.76 is faster as is
HNSKY, not to mention Stellarium for example. Do you think 3.0 is as fast as
it will get or do you have improvements in mind? Right now I'm a little
concerned about running 3.0 on a laptop as it's bearable on my [EMAIL
PROTECTED] desktop
but not sure what will happen on a Centrino based system.
BTW the fullscreen option is *great*. Not sure why other software doesn't do
that the same way. Maybe it's hard? I've always thought that was the way
around pesky windows colors for nightvision.
