See the designation link I posted. When Bayer ran out of greek letters,
english letters were used, but none of these went past Q for any
constellation.
So they started using R, S, T,... for variables.
CdC is a bit odd about this. I tried using the search box for "D Gem" and
"K
Gem" and it gave me delta and kappa Gem. The english letter Bayer
designations
are rarely used anymore, so I suppose showing delta when you ask for D is a
reasonable substitution, but it could lead to some confusion.
