I've seen the previous discussions regarding the OpenGL drivers, AGP drivers, MB, etc on the planetrender.dll issues.
I have access violations from planetrender.dll at address 01c08782 at read of address 01b32904. This occurs only when the program closes, and very seldom, does not occur at all. The planet image rendering is beautiful and movement is smooth. It is only when closing the app that the violation occurs. No problems at all while it's running. This is happening on two separate machines, both Win 2K, fully updated. One is a ThinkPad 1.7 Ghz A31P with an ATI Rage Mobility card, fully updated. The other is a desktop, 3 GHz, 1 GB ram, Nvidia 6800GT graphics card, fully updated and with the latest Nvidia driver, DFI MB. On both machines CDC 2.76 works flawlessly, as does Celestia, and other OpenGL applications including the new V3 of VMA. I don't think this is a driver/hardware issue. Again, V 3.09 works fine, it is just on shutdown the violation happens. If there is anything I can do on this end to see why the crash is happening on shutdown, let me know. I haven't built the app under Linux, yet but will be installing on Mandriva 2006 soon. Thanks for a great app. ------------------------ Yahoo!
