The database is very small so most of the files are 0k. That is not unusual. Try this, make sure the varspec catalog is active and zoom to a field of 1 deg. Select Search, > Find, > Catalogs tab; the varspec entry should be checked. Type in BrhV002 or any other name in the catalog and search. In a few moments you should see a very small circle in the center of the screen, the symbol the variable star catalog uses. Left click on it to see the info. If for some reason CdC can locate the position but does not display the variable star symbol then start CatGen and find the varspec.gen.prj file, open it and point it to the directory where varspec.txt ( the one in my zip file) is stored and recompile the catalog.
Keep in mind most of the stars in this catalog are dim and wont show up unless you have selected a small f.o.v.
