Both can be installed at the same time. 3.0 Is stable and I like it a lot
but you have to decide for yourself if it's better or not. There's no cost
to try.

I have a new notebook PC and I was wondering whether CdC 3.0 beta1 is
stable on Windows XPsp2 yet. I've been using 2.7(6) as my primary sky
software and as a teaching tool for the past three years, but rather
than install it on the new PC and then update it later to 3.0 it would
be good to see if 3.0 will work reliably yet as a primary install.
Advice appreciated.
