Thank you for your help, Bob.
I'm still not getting this to work, although I'm only now trying 9600 baud.
Note that I can connect to the AN using Wildcard's own software, Argonaut,
using my Keyspan 19HS on COM7 at 9600 baud.
My AN is running firmware 2.0.0. The SERIAL STARTUP options I see are: meade,
navis, pbt, servocat, sitech, skycomm, tangent.
In CdC 2.76 I first select Telescope > Select Scope Interface > Encoder and
then the Configuration Panel choices for Encoder Type are: Tangent, Ouranos,
NGC-MAX, MicroGuider, AAM, SkyVector, Discovery and Intelliscope.
So, the only common choices I have is Tangent.
When I set both to Tangent, with COM7, 9600 baud, and then selected
"Connect" (next to the red box) in the Digital Encoders window that pops up
when I select Telescope > Select Scope Interface > Encoder... drum roll...
IT CONNECTS, IT WORKS! :-)
I had tried Tangent before, but not at 9600 baud. I was trying 38400. That
connects now, though, but gives some errors. I think I'll stick with
9600. :-)
