Hi,
I live in Ireland, Galway. But Janek is slavic nickname, I am Czech.

About speed, I am doing Java programmer couple of years. It is not
real problem, for example HSQLDB can insert 80000 records in 5
seconds on my 2 GHz athlon.

Biggest issue is memory consuming. It will not be problem to take 100-
200 MB of RAM. But it is more because I want everything to be object,
even circles on map.

Java is not about portability, it is just bonus. It is more about
speed of development, coding rules and god IDE.

And it is not problem to distribute it as native binary. On windows
exe file with installer, on Mac some kind of executable archive.
