Hi Mel,

As far as I understand, Terry was originally asking about having the 
common star names displayed on the screen, not the search drop down.  I 
can confirm that on my V3, the star names are all there on the search 
menu, exactly as Johann described.  I am using 3.0.1.0, on XP SP2.  
Exactly what version / OS are you using ?  See if you have the file 
<ciel base dir>\data\common_names\StarsNames.txt.  I think that must be 
where the list is populated from.
