USNO-A2.0 is very large. Before you spend however long it would take to download it all, you can use the "online resources" to get just the field you need (but you have to be zoomed in -there's a limit of 2 degree FOV). In v2.7x, click the globe icon in the upper toolbar, then select "USNO-A". There are two possible online sources, and due to a recent apparent change at Vizier, that option no longer works for the southern hemisphere (of the sky), so use the ESO Skycat source.
Just click that, then a window will pop up: click "connect", wait for the download, then click "OK". That's all there is to it. I'm not sure if this is implemented in v3.x yet. -John ----- Original Message ---- > From: rfuk2001 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Hi All, > > I'm new to the group so Hello :-) > > Anyway I've just downloaded CDC & would now like to add the USNO-A2 > Catalog..
