You are of course quite right, John.  I meant the SAC database.  Sorry - 
another senior moment I'm afraid....

Thnaks for the warning on "Save Settings"  I hadn't thought of that.  As 
to the external catalogues, I suppose that is why there is the first 
column in the Size Tab under Preferences/Catalog and Object Parameters.
