Gary, I've got bad news for you.
The CAT socket ONLY works with the Meade CAT Digital Setting Circles
add on hardware. Nothing else will "talk" to that socket!
I tried many times when I had my 10" LX6 to make it work. And when
eventually I found and bought a set of LX5 DSC harware it still didn't
work with the mounting!!!!
In all honesty, the LX6 mounting was good for what it was at the time,
but is now due for retirement. I sold mine and replaced it with a 12"
LX200, which obviously communicates with CdC etc etc etc.
Sorry mate!
Ken
