Hello!
Thank you for answering!
Oleg, I try to rebuilt: ESO Uppsala Survey of the ESO(B) Atlas
(Lauberts 1982, Surface Photometry of ESO-Uppsala Galaxies (Lauberts+
1989)and Uppsala General Catalogue of Galaxies (UGC)(Nilson 1973, in a
way just for fun.
John I am not sure, but my "plate defekt" seems to be a catgen-problem.
I choose as objekt type nebula and other objekts and as objekt type in
the general catalog options "galaxy". Catgen presents no galaxies but
this plate defekt in the identification as the result:
on the chart I get blue crosses as for IC 4953 for example.
I assume catgen cannot compute the data in my textfile (?) or the data
are not complete: regarding to the ugc-catalog I would be surprised at it.
Kind regards
Charlyms
