I haven't used satellites in v3.0, but normally for satellites you need TLE 
(two-line-element) files for them.  Normally you can get them from
<http://Celestrak.com>
or straight from the US government at
<http://space-track.org>
(but you'll need to create an account for that source).
I'm not sure how CdC handles this.

Yes, I think so.  CdC v2.7 had its own Meade plug-in, and I think that would 
work with Meade's Magellan system.  If v3 doesn't have that, try an ASCOM 
connection using the "generic LX200" driver, or possibly the "Meade LX200 
Classic" driver.
