I read that but our use of the catalog is not the same. Maybe this catalog contain 3% of various error but we use the GSC with 40% fake and duplicate to make chart up to now :-) It look like many error are on the bright side of the catalog. I like Bill Gray idea to filter out the UCAC3 stars that have the Tycho2 flag. This solve most of this problems, solve bright stars completeness in UCAC3 and also give no duplicate plot. This require to always use Tycho2 and UCAC3 together. This can be the best solution for charting. The only problem in this case is the index completeness but it can be build on a separate run that include all the stars. Patrick
