that depends on what you mean by 'replace'. It's an -additional- 
catalog. I'm not removing my HST GSC just because I added the UCAC3. I 
still have UCAC2 and USNO as well. It all depends on what other people 
use. If someone sends you some event relative to an HST GSC star UCAC3 
is useless and vice versa.

It seems that UCAC3 is a 'better' catalog than HST GSC but that depends 
on your requirements. Besides, UCAC3 is so new that we may found out 
more problems with it in the next few months.
