Negative. Either position your cursor on the desired RA/Dec or center it using the position command and put your cursor there...then...right click, telescope, slew.

Went to View/ Position and changed it arbitrarily to 6 hr and 60deg North. This centres those coordinates on the screen but still doesn't allow the EDmod to slew/ GOTO the position :( It seems CdC ONLY recognises positions from its databases.. --- In [email protected], John Mahony <jmmah...@...> wrote: > > I hope so. I'm still using v2.76, but on a closely related issue, I always wished it was possible to click on a random point on the screen and say "sync here" when trying to sync between CdC and the scope when imaging, but it will only let you do that at the position of a particular database object. So I have to fudge around with the keypad taking multiple short exposures to get an object very well centered, before syncing. It would be so much easier to just click on the point on-screen that appears at the center of the image and say "sync here". > > -John > > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > > From: Ken <kenm.harri...@...> > > > > Under CdC V3.0.1.6 is it possible to enter a random RA and Dec value and then > > get the scope to GOTO?? > > ( Thinking about an obscure object - not in the CdC database, where you have the > > catalogue details and want to image) > > The advanced Search doesn't give that option???? > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > Yahoo!
