While searching for Pluto recently I noticed an odd effect when using
narrow fields of view in Cartes du Ciel v 3.0.
When the field gets down to a few minutes of arc, the sky colour changes from
its normal dark blue (my settings) to a sort of maroon RED.
I have tried the setups exhaustively, but I cannot find out why this is,
nor can I correct it.
This is normally no problem, but when concentrated on an object it can cause
problems.
BTW I have had one possible idea. Since Pluto is at present in Sagittarius,
could this be a setting for the very rich nebulosity in the region?
