Make sure compat.jsd moved along with the rest of your script files
when you moved them. That file is part of the new compatibility code
that lets the scripts run on older JAWS versions. It is required in
all JAWS versions but does not actually do anything substantial except
where it has to in order to make things work.

Since you said the file that can't load is compat.jsd, I assume you
were trying to open compat.jss, or maybe another jss, in the Script
Manager? If you are getting that error message just by switching to
Skype, the file is probably compat.jsb, with a b as in boy rather than
a d as in dog. For that, make sure compat.jsb is there. You should
be able to compile compat.jsb from compat.jss manually if you are
familiar with compiling scripts. The easiest solution, though, might
just be to run the installer again and install directly into the JAWS
version you are trying to set up.
