Watch for an announcement from me on this list regarding this Skype update when it becomes available. For now, I will say that a number of things about the new Skype, according to the article Jim referenced, are still taking shape. As is normal with very new beta software, I do not recommend that people rush out and grab it unless they are prepared to, and interested in, taking a few unexpected rolls while things iron out. I will also say, as this is probably obvious to anyone who knows about scripting, that the Skype scripts for Skype 4 will be different scripts than for 3, because this is necessary when there is such a major change in the interface of a program. That said, rest assured that I have been quietly working on said scripts to make sure something is accessible to us when it becomes accessible to the rest of the public.

However, I have hopes that the new version will be as accessible as the old version. Skype has been doing a good job of ensuring that lately.
