Hi!
I could say that I agree with you for the most part. As soon as we face some 
facts and stop beeing idealists, things could change in more than few 
positive ways. I won't be a philosopher here, but reading these posts made 
me think of something.
I'm sure you all know about Miranda IM and Skype plugin for it. This plugin 
uses Skype API and you need to have Skype installed on the machine if you 
want to use it through Miranda IM.
Let's say that Skype developers stop caring about accessibility and in the 
future we are not able to use Skype and there's no way to implement scripts 
for screen readers. I believe it would be easier to program some accessible 
shell from scratch which could connect to Skype API and make Skype functions 
accessible to us. Miranda is not so usable with Jaws, even there are some 
scripts and clistblind plugin, but some similar shell programmed for our 
needs will do the job I think.
What do you think about it?
