Greetings Doug and list. I haven't figured out how to delete history in Skype 4, but here's how to add a contact:
Press Alt+C to get to the contacts menu. Find the option New Contact, and press Enter to activate. Now type the name, Skype ID or e-mail address of the person you're looking for, press Tab until you get to the Find button, and press Enter or the space bar. When the person you're looking for appears in the search list, press Tab until you get to the Add button and press Enter or the space bar. You will now be in the edit field for writing an introductory message. When you're done writing, press Tab until you find the Send button. Press Enter or the space bar to send the contact request.
