Hi! That is so because Skread and SK Watch use two different approaches for announcing stuff like this. Skread controls and monitors Contact list and it speaks when it notice changes on it. SK Watch did that in rev 554 (I think) and that caused the system slowdowns for people with large contact lists. SK Watch from rev 618 and further announces the text shown in notification boxes in system tray and here lies the Skype 4 problem because the text in those notifications are fully unaccessible. As soon the Skype developers deal with that Doug's scripts for SK 4 will work just fine.
