Never seen your second problem but the first problem is do to the fact that skype no longer has a file menu. It is now the skype menu alt+s will open it. note you should also be able to move about on the menu bar. The menu bar is accessed with alt. if you can not press alt+t then o. Tab to the radio group and select use classic windows. Now tab to the save button and press enter.
