[Skypeenglish] From Skype 4.1 beta version to gold version

Hi all,
I have some friends of mine who are telling me that, if using Skype 4.1 beta, 
through Help / Check for updates, are not able to download the gold version. Is 
it normal? Are we obligued to download it from the website? I used the check 
for updates option with Skype 3.8 and I received the 4.1 gold.
