Dear Rebecca, contact requests appear as messages in the chat message list. First of all, when you launch Skype, if you hear jaws say a number just after it said Skype, it means that you have this number of new unread messages. these messages could be anything. Normal chat messages, voice mails, sent files or contact requests. Press control 2. You should be at the top of your conversations list. Each item in the list is a contact name. So, if you have a contact name there which is not in your contact list, it is probably a contact requests. Then carefully arrow down to each conversation. As soon as you hear, new, it means you haven't read this message yet. Press the space bar to select it and then control 5 to read it. When you're finished reading, press control 2 again and repeat the same procedure for each new message. Every type of message has appropriate buttons related to it that you can access with the tab key. For example if it was a contact requests, you should have an accept and deny button or something like this. Hope this helps, Cheers, JPR http://myspace.com/jeanphilipperykiel

I'm Rebecca. I live in PA with my seeing eye dog Nuncio. He's 4 years old. Had a skype question. I'm using 4.1. One problem that I've always experienced with skype is that people say they try to add me to their list. Problem is that I never get their authorizations saying that they want to add me. Where do I check this and how do I get them added because at least 2 or 3 people said that they added me but the notifications don't come up. The box is checked in the options also.
