hello Gabry,
if the conversation which contains unread material refers to a call you 
received (and maybe answered) or a birthday notification, I think the 
quickest way to make the "new" indication disappeer is to open the context 
menu and press down harrow (or maybe up is faster) till you hear, "Marc as 
read", then press enter. If I'm not clear, let me know off list and I will 
send you complete procedures.
