Hi! I can't answer all your questions, Yvonne, but I can perhaps help with some of them. If you want to start a text chat in Skype, you must look for "Send IM" in the context menu: this has replaced "start chat" which we had in 3.8. As for finding out whether Skypewatch is enabled, this isn't done in Skype itself, it's done through JAWS. Press Jawskey=v while you are in the Skype window, and arrow down until JAWS says "Skypewatch: on". If there is no mention of Skypewatch in your verbosity settings, or if JAWS says "off" instead of "on", that means Skypewatch is not enabled. Either before or after you have enabled Skypewatch, you must go to the "notification settings" in the "options" dialogue in Skype itself, to choose when you want notifications of events, for example being told that a contact has gone online or offline. To view the whole of a text chat, you must be in the chat window, and press alt=1 for the most recent message, alt+2 for the message before that and so on. Those are the problems of yours which I can help you with, but I'm sure there are other people out there who can help you with the other problems you mentioned. Bye for now! >From Clare ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yvonne Oliver" <[email protected]> To: "screen access software with skype" <skypeenglish at emissives.com> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 4:41 PM Subject: Re: [Skypeenglish] My Skype 4.1 issues
