The first thing you want to do is set Skype up for accessibility to do this, follow the following steps. First from within the Skype Main window. Press alt+t then o. This will open the options dialog now select the general option in the tree view that appears. now tab to a radio button that says Skype. Now press the down arrow key. It will now say classic Windows. Now tab to the save button and press the space bar. They should make your menu bar track as you would expect. Now open the tools menu and select the accessibility submenu. Verifying that extended keyboard navigation is turned on, if it is not turned on turned on by pressing enter. This should improve your accessibility to Skype using the scripts. If you had Skype watch installed in the past. There is no need to modify any jaws files. If you do not have Skype watch installed however, and would like to use this feature editing the jaws file is still required. You can verify that Skype watch is installed by pressing alt+shift+F9 from anywhere jaws should report the last Skype event detected by Skype watch. See directions on the Skype scripts installation page for more information about how to install Skype watch if required. I am not sure what you are asking Re: starting conversation performing any of the actions you list in the context menu will start a new conversation. So if you decide to send a file for example this will open a new conversation. And prompt you for the file you would like to send if you start a call another conversation will be open unless you started the call with a person who already has a open conversation, And then that will be considered an event in the conversation. Just as sending a file was an event in the conversation. So, the majority of the menu options you see in the context menu start conversations. If you are referring to how you start a text chat this is done by selecting send Im. You will then be placed in the Xbox where you can begin typing the message to the individual when you are sending me I am too.

I hope that I don't have to added some jaws file as it was in the past. I just ran the installer. First of all the alt key to access the menu does not work for me. When I am standing on conversations tab and I press alt key I hear "menu bar" and nothing else, even if I use the cursor keys. Secondly when I am standing on the contact and press the context menu I don't see anywehre the option to start a conversation. Only think that I see iis as follows: Call Video Call Send IM Send SMS Message Send Contacts. Send File. Send Voicemail Share Your Screen View Profile Rename. Block This Person. View Old Messages Remove from Contacts ndw and strangly enoughh when I wanted to send you my opening screen and I did control insert w command I heard "no text" so I suspect something might be wrong with the way the windows is set up and the issue may be greater than just skype issue anyone has any suggestions? Many thanks. Zdenek Thanks for posting to the skype english list.
