And funny that you mention it,
The latest tutorials are for skype 3.8.
As for finding out about people,
I think you can view their profile, but I don't know how to do
that in skype 3.8 seeing that I use skype 4.
But here's what I do,
I usually don't add people to my skype unlless I've seen their
name on another list I'm on, or if I know the person personally,
or if the person writes a message in the message field telling me
who they are and what list they found my skype name from.
Oh and feel free to add me on skype.
My skype name is in my signature.
And most of the time,
I'm a pretty desirable person to talk to.

I am being sent mad: I admit that I don't have to go very far to
reach that
state: but skype is shortening the journey very rapidly.
I was a skyper several years ago when the program was a very
simple one, but
those halcyon days have long gone.
I tried to get the tutorial from moving-mountains yesterday, but
could not
open the link. I had no problem in downloading other programs
from that
site.
Would some kind person send me that, or an equivalent tutorial,
for 3.8 as a
text file attachment, or in an ordinary email if it is not too
long?
I have received two overseas calls, which I answered, but it was
a sheer
fluke as I don't know how I did it!
When someone is new and is just asembling a contact list and is
receiving
calls from strangers, is there any way of checking them out
before you
answer the call? They may be very undesirable people to whom one
would
rather not swap confidences.
Are there hot keys and keystrokes that will enable me to access
all the
different functions? I have done a little with the menu bar,
but most
times, I can't get it to open!
My operating system is XP Home with JFW5.1 for the next couple of
weeks and
then it will, with luck, be v10.
